First-time Setup

Flash a new device →

Connect a 4.3″-touchscreen controller or audio board over USB and install the factory image directly from your browser. Chrome or Edge on desktop required. The 7″ (P4) board needs the command-line esptool.py — grab the image from the download page below.

Signed downloads of the merged factory images for manual flashing with esptool.py or a production programmer.
Access is gated by Google Sign-In — the firmware bucket is private. If you need to be added, contact the project maintainer.

Updating a Device Already on Your Network

You don't need to visit this site for routine updates. Open the device's web UI, go to the Update tab, and click Sign in with Google. That opens a popup to this site which hands the device a short-lived token so it can pull the latest images straight from the release channel. See Settings → Update for details.
